The Stafford-born defender scored at Vale Park with a thunderous strike from 30 yards to get the Reds back in the game in our Papa John's Trophy knockout tie.
Edwards featured in every game for the Reds during November, seeing us progress into the third round of the Emirates FA Cup and win both of our Sky Bet League One games against Shrewsbury and MK Dons.
The 23-year-old spoke about the goal: "It's a great feeling. I haven't scored many goals in my career, this is my first goal of the month award!
"It's a great feeling, especially who the goal is against. It was a big moment for me and my family. I'm very happy to win the award."
