Barnsley Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Slobodan Tedic on loan until the end of the 22/23 season.
The Serbian youth-international joins the Reds from Manchester City, after previous loan spells during his time with the ‘Cityzens’ in the Eredivisie and Serbia’s top flight.
Tedic began his career in Serbia with Vojvodina, before moving to Čukarički in 2017. This was where he made his professional debut, making 75 appearances for the Serbian outfit.
Tedic’s performances caught the attention of Manchester City, and he subsequently joined the club in January of 2020. He remained on loan with Čukarički until the end of the 2020/21 season.
The 22-year old frontman most recently spent time in the Netherlands with PEC Zwolle, making 38 appearances in the Dutch top flight.
Barnsley FC CEO, Khaled El-Ahmad added: “We are pleased to welcome Slobodan to Oakwell.
“Everyone here at the Club wishes him all the best during his time in a Reds jersey.”
Tedic spoke of his excitement at getting going here with the Reds: “It has always been a dream of mine to play in England and now I can say that I'm closer to achieving that.
"I will give 100%, I hope to play well and I'm looking forward to meeting my teammates and the staff at this great club."
