Our popular Reds FanZone - your ideal pre-match venue - will be open ahead of today' first home game of the 22/23 season!
Situated towards the rear of the East Stand, the Reds FanZone will continue to be a place for Reds supporters to get together pre-match in a friendly, relaxed environment to grab a bite of locally-sourced food and to enjoy a refreshing drink.
The outdoor space will open from 12.30pm to 3pm on Saturdays. For midweek games, the FanZone will be open from 5pm and close at 7.45pm (kick-off time).
The FanZone plays host to a number of bars, including the familiar Redfearn’s, run by members of the Barnsley FC Supporters Trust with all profits going to local charities. In addition, fans will have a variety of food and hot and cold drinks available whilst being entertained on the FanZone stage by live musical acts, special guests (including current and former players) hosted by our very own man with a mic, Dave Cooper.
Ben Lockwood, of the Supporters Trust is excited to be back involved as the FanZone moves into its fourth year.
"We're really looking forward to being part of the FanZone for Michael Duff's first league game at Oakwell.
"It's always exciting to connect with fellow supporters on a matchday, promote local artists and come together alongside the club to support local charities and BFCST initiatives.
"2022 already includes donations to the Ukraine Appeal, Barnsley Museums and Heritage Trust and most recently, Andrew Clark's cycle to Plymouth - with plenty more to come for the 22/23 season!"
