2022/23 SEASON TICKET UPDATE

4 April 2022

Barnsley FC can confirm that season tickets for the upcoming 2022/23 campaign will be available from 6 April.

Season tickets will be available to purchase and renew both online or by visiting the Box Office.

Following consultation with supporter groups, Barnsley FC are aware of the rise in energy prices and general cost of living and the difficult position that many in this region currently find themselves in. Whilst a comprehensive price list will be released later in the week, the Club can confirm that season ticket prices have been frozen, continuing our commitment to help make the cost of attending Oakwell affordable.

To assist supporters with their purchases, the Club have secured two finance options, including an interest free scheme across three months, for those who secure their seat during the early bird period.

Also, a decision has also been taken to extend our ‘junior’ category, from Under 12 through to Under 14. All Under 14's must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Speaking on the upcoming campaign, Chief Executive Officer, Khaled El-Ahmad said: “I have spoken with numerous stakeholders across the town, and we know that our attendances and experiences can be much, much better. This campaign is the start. It’s the Club’s 135th anniversary and we plan to make it a special one. We want to see a sold out Oakwell, that’s our collective goal.

“As we reach every significant milestone in sales, the Club are to donate a set figure to grassroots football within the Barnsley region. Maintaining that theme, to further commemorate the 135thanniversary, 135 supporters will receive a significant refund on their ticket.

“Over 7,000 supporters backed us during the COVID impacted campaign, with 10,000 committing for this Championship season. It’s our turn to give back to this community.”

Marketing, Commercial and Business Director, Andrew Clark, added: “It is integral for the Club, especially during these difficult times, to do all we can to make visiting Oakwell as affordable as possible. Our approach to this has been considered over the last few months, following analysis of competitors and our own historical pricing. We are proud of our working-class heritage and feel that, within the current economy, our decision to freeze the prices reflects that.

“Seeing what others charge, both in the Championship and League One, our average early bird price puts us at somewhat of a commercial disadvantage. However, with adults able to watch from the C.K.Beckett South Stand for only £13.70 per game and children under the age of 14 able to watch 23 league games for £10, we believe it essential for the growth of our Club to ensure watching the Reds live remains accessible to all.”

Further information regarding seasonal sales and Barnsley FC’s refund and giveback strategy is to follow in the coming days.

News on seasonal hospitality packages and home match ticket sales will be made available in due course.
