PICK UP YOUR BLACKPOOL EDITION OF GROVE STREET

26 April 2022

It’s our penultimate home fixture of the Sky Bet Championship on Tuesday evening as we welcome Blackpool to Oakwell.

That means there’s another edition of GROVE STREET up for grabs for you to enjoy reading or to add to your ever-burgeoning collection.

Our cover star for the visit of the Tangerines is JACK WALTON, who has been thrust into action in recent weeks following the injury to Brad Collins at the start of the month, and it’s fair to say that our goalkeeper has given a good account of himself.

The 24-year-old discusses the disappointment of this campaign, both individually and collectively, while also reflecting on reaching the 50 appearance mark for Barnsley and looking back at his favourite moments for the Reds.

We spoke with MYLAN BENJAMIN, who has played a crucial role in our U18s’ push for the Professional Development League play-offs this season.

A former Manchester United academy prospect, the forward talks about our youngsters’ training camp in Italy and their incredible run of form that has seen them climb to second in the table with one game remaining.

It’s all to play for for the young Reds.

Sticking with an academy theme, we also have a gallery from our U18s’ friendly with Como U19s.

There are our traditional pages dedicated to the visitors from Bloomfield Road, including a view from the opposition corner, while LEIGH EDWARDS focuses on former Seasiders managers.

NEIL RICHARDSON’s unsung hero for this issue is winger WINSTON CAMPBELL, who represented the Reds during the 80s.

As ever, there is a word from club legend, BARRY MURPHY, who gives his ever-honest assessment of our current situation and looks at the challenges that lie ahead next season.

All of this and more in your Blackpool edition of GROVE STREET. Pick up your copy for just £3 from in and around Oakwell.
