The Head Coach looks ahead to tonight's clash with Forest at Oakwell.
ON SUSPENDED COACHING STAFF
“I think the club already found the right answer for this. For me, it’s obviously disappointing to lose my staff in this way. But everyone saw the situation, we all saw what happened, but it is what it is.
“It’s up to me to find the solutions for the next two games, without my assistants.”
“Aapo Halme suffered a little bit after Sunday’s training session, so it’s very unlikely that he will be involved. And Obbi Oularé has an issue with his back which we are trying to manage.
“With Obbi it is frustrating because we get him close and then as we step things up, we lose him again. And it’s a real shame because we think he’s a very interesting player for us.”
ON BLACKPOOL LOSS
“It wasn’t good enough. The first half, like I said on Saturday, it was not what we expect to see, especially in the first half. We were prepared for the opponent, but then it didn’t happen.
“We conceded the goal from our own throw-in. We had a lot of players around the ball, and it’s impossible to break through this way.
“We created very little again, in the first half. But we had - still - a couple of good chances to score in the game and we didn’t do it.
“We need to do things better. We know this.”
“The biggest problem for me is that we are creating chances to score in every game but we don’t take them. At Stoke, against Blackburn and again against Blackpool. This is our big problem right now. If you don’t score, then you don’t win.
“Defensively we aren’t perfect, nobody is. But we are pretty solid. But it’s not easy for the other teams to score against us. That isn’t a problem.
“It’s a much easier game if we put our chances away at the other end, and we can only keep working on this area.”
“They’ve changed their manager, so while we’ve watched all of their games, it’s a different look with the new coach and we have to be careful in the regard.
“But it’s all about us. It’s all about how we approach the game. We have to win our duels, we have to play with the intensity and pressure we are capable of and when the chances arise, we have to start taking them and then it doesn’t matter what the other team do.”
