Our young defender looks ahead to the trip to Bloomfield Road this weekend.
ON THE SEASON SO FAR
“For myself it’s been a good start to the season so far. There’s still a lot more to come but, as a whole as a group, I think it has been an okay start.
“I think we need to pick up some more points here and there and get more wins out of it but there is still a lot more to come.”
“I think it has been good, every game you adapt to different situations because no team plays the same and they obviously have different players.
“I think as long as I keep going, I think that’s it good that the games are so close together and I have been playing quite a few so close and you don’t really have time to reflect too much, so if I make a mistake or anything it’s just onto the next one and make it right in the next game.”
ON TURNING DRAWS INTO WINS
“I think the style of play that the manager wants us to play we are only now getting used to it, and I think as long we implement that more into what we do then the chances will come. At the weekend we had a few, on another day, we take them chances and we win the game.”
ON RAISED EXPECTATION
“I don’t see why we can’t match what we did last season maybe even do better, yes there is an expectation on us now but it’s about how we perform, teams are now coming here knowing that we are a good side so we need to showcase what we can do.”
“The Championship is, at the end of the day, a tough league there is not one game that you go into thinking we can take three points out of this, for us we just have to focus on the win, focus on our goals and then the rest should come. Blackpool have had an okay start; I think they have two wins, but it will be a tough game.”
ON THE MAN OF THE MATCH V BLACKBURN
“It’s an award that is really good for me and my family. They were all really proud of me because to be Man of the Match in the Championship is not an easy achievement, but I hope that there is many more to come.”
ON THE NEXT THREE BIG GAMES
“The next three games are massive, but any game in the Championship is massive even if they are against a top team or a bottom team; it’s still 11 vs 11 and there is three points to play for, so hopefully we can take all the points out of these games.”
