Barnsley FC reported at the end of August that access issues with unscannable membership cards had yet to be resolved.
Said announcement can be found HERE.
Despite working closely with Ticketmaster to both identify and rectify the problem, unfortunately, no immediate resolution has been found. As such, a decision has been made to issue a total re-print with QR codes, meaning that all 21/22 seasonal members will be issued with a new membership card.
Once the new card arrives, we encourage supporters to destroy and dispose of their old one to ensure they use the correct card going forward.
All new cards will be posted between Monday 13 September and Wednesday 15 September.
We would like to thank all supporters for their continued patience and understanding with this process.
If any member has not received a new 21/22 seasonal membership card by Friday 17 September, please email email@example.com.
If required to contact the Box Office, supporters will be sent a print at home matchday ticket for their seasonal seat for the Sky Bet Championship fixture against Blackburn Rovers. If a supporter receives this print at home ticket, a seasonal membership card will not permit entry to the stadium for that game.
All 21/22 Reds Reserved/Reds Reserved+ members can still use their 21/22 mobile digital season card, available in both Google and Apple wallets.
Examples Of Issues
Case One: My card was retained at the turnstiles
Please use your digital version where possible. Your new plastic card should be with you before Saturday. In the unlikely event it doesn’t arrive and you cannot access your digital version, please contact the Box Office.
Case Two: My card was unaffected and scanned ok
You will still be issued with a new plastic card that has a QR code. In the meantime your existing digital version and existing barcoded card will still work. We are issuing the new plastic card as a precaution. Once it arrives destroy the existing barcoded version. Your digital ticket remains unaffected and does not need resending.
Fans who require support are asked to email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Alternatively, the ticket office will be open for in-person visits from Monday 13 September to Friday 17 September, 9am until 5pm. Supporters who wish to call may do so by phoning 01226 211183.
