Dominik Frieser is your winner of the first Player of the Month award for this season!
The 'Ice Man' had a productive time in front of goal during the opening month of 21/22, scoring the winning goal in our victory against Coventry City at Oakwell before repeating the trick in a 2-2 draw away at Queens Park Rangers.
As well as his goals, 'Friesy' was his usual self in terms of running himself into the ground, leaving everything out there on the pitch.
The 27-year-old started all five Championship games throughout August and in our week-long poll, he saw off the threat of goalkeeper Brad Collins who was also a big favourite in terms of your votes.
Frieser received 38% of fans' votes, with Collins getting 30% in a two-horse race. You couldn't split central defenders Michał Helik and Liam Kitching (9% each) whilst midfielder Romal Palmer received 7%.
Upon hearing the news, Dominik told us: "I am very happy to have won the award!
"My hard work has paid off but it shouldn't be the end. I want to score even more goals and keep helping the team with my effort.
