Reds in the Community are holding open trials for their ground-breaking Shadow Scholarship programme on Saturday 16 October.
The initiative allows players aged 16-19 to develop their football skills, while also gaining qualifications through RitC’s education set-up.
Success stories from this scheme in the past include Callum Walmsley, who represented the Reds at U18 level, and Steve Simpson, who has since gone onto sign for Esbjerg fB in a permanent deal following an impressive campaign with our U23s.
Previous years players have travelled on football tours to Barcelona, while also training at St George’s Park and on a two-week coaching experience in Malta.
There are also opportunities to train with Tom Harban’s U18s and Martin Devaney’s U23s throughout the season.
