WOMEN’S SHADOW SCHOLARSHIP OPEN TRIALS

9 November 2021

Reds in the Community will be hosting open trials for the newly launched Women’s Shadow Scholarship programme Saturday 11th December!

December 11 @ 2:00pm - 6:00pm

The exciting initiative allows players aged 16-19 to develop their footballing ability in the hope of moving into professional/semi-professional football on RitC’s impressive education setup.

The newly launched Women’s Shadow Scholarship will use the same blueprint as the highly successful male programme, training daily and competing in either the National Football Youth League or the EFL CEFA league.

There is also the opportunity for players to go on football tours, as the U19’s travelled to Barcelona, while students have also trained at St George’s Park and been on a two-week coaching and football experience to Malta.

Reds in the Community’s Male Shadow Scholarship Programme, which was launched for the 2018/19 academic year, has already proved to be a success with defender Callum Walmsley securing a U18 scholarship with Barnsley FC’s Academy, Steven Simpson being awarded a professional contract with Barnsley FC’s Academy, and most recently goalkeeper Harry Ambler signing for Bradford City U18 Academy.

You can register your interest by emailing lynn.goodman@barnsleyfc.co.uk complete with the following documents; COVID-19 Student Disclaimer scholarship trials letter 2021.
