Reds midfielder has been named in the Republic of Ireland Under-21s squad for upcoming UEFA Under-21 European Championship qualifiers.
In what is Will Hondermarck’s first international call-up, he is set to link up with Jim Crawford’s side on Tuesday.
Signing for the Reds in September, Hondermarck has gone on to make five appearances in the Sky Bet Championship, including his first start a month later, against Middlesbrough.
The young Ireland side face Italy at Tallaght Stadium on Friday, 12 November, before hosting Sweden four days later on Tuesday, 16 November.
