The Reds welcome Hull City to Oakwell this weekend as we look to make it back-to-back victories in the Sky Bet Championship.

As ever, there’s another edition of GROVE STREET available for you to enjoy and add to your collection, and lots of exclusive content to read.

Our cover star for this issue is CLAUDIO GOMES. The Frenchman, on loan from Premier League champions Manchester City, has already shown his qualities this season with some fine performances.

He discusses his football education, from developing at two of the finest academies in world football at Paris Saint-Germain and City to working under arguably the greatest coach of a generation in Pep Guardiola. The 21-year-old also talks about his time with the Reds in a feature length interview.

Next up to take on the variety on wacky questions in our A-Z quiz is TOBY SIBBICK, and there are plenty of intriguing answers as he reveals who he would invite to a dinner party and what he would do in the event of a zombie apocalypse.

Under the academy spotlight for the visit of Hull is CHARLIE HICKINGBOTTOM, who has caught the eye in our U18s with a string of impressive displays at the heart of midfield. He reflects on his move from Derby County and living away from home for the first time as he finds his feet in the adult world.

With the international break swiftly following the conclusion of this encounter, Barnsley won’t be in action at Oakwell again until Wednesday 24 November. However, fear not, GROVE STREET has you covered should you wish to have your live football fix in the meantime.

We’ve put together a selection of fixtures of non-league teams from the local area and there’s an abundance of home games for you to choose from.

As usual, club legend BARRY MURPHY pens his notes and he is full of praise for the Reds following our much-needed and richly deserved victory over Derby on Wednesday evening.

There are our traditional pages dedicated to the Tigers, including a view from the opposition corner, while LEIGH EDWARDS’ column looks at former City managers.

WILF BARTROP is the focus of NEIL RICHARDSON’s latest piece in his popular Unsung Heroes feature.
