Our U18s will host Crystal Palace in the FA Youth Cup third round.
It is the first time we have been drawn at home in this competition since the 2016/17 campaign.
The young Reds, flying in the Professional Development League, welcome the Eagles to Oakwell on Wednesday 8 December in a 7pm kick-off.
Palace are currently sixth in the U18 Premier League after a fine start to the season, and England youth forward Victor Akinwale leads their scoring charts with 11 goals in all competitions so far - including late equaliser against Fulham at the weekend.
Last season, Barnsley exited this competition at the hands of Chelsea, while the Eagles were beaten by lower-league Fleetwood Town, both at the third round stage.
Details on how to access tickets and live streaming will be announced in due course.
