JOSH BENSON ON RAMS CLASH

2 November 2021

Our box-to-box midfielder spoke ahead of Wednesday night's clash with the Rams.

ON MARKUS SCHOPP'S DEPARTURE

"Obviously, it's never nice for a gaffer to leave on terms like that, but we're just looking towards the game on Wednesday and looking for a result.

"He came in on Monday, told all the lads. He acted with real class, saying goodbye to everyone. But we're unhappy obviously, that it's not worked out how we'd have wanted it to."

MOVING FORWARD

"We've got to look at last Saturday, and how we performed and try and take that into this game. Because we deserved to win that. We were the better team.

"We are feeling confident about the game on Wednesday, we're excited. That's the good thing about this league. There are games coming thick and fast. So we need to crack on now, get a good result."

ON JO LAUMANN

"He's not changed much. It's just little things really. He's got his point across, and we've been working hard since Bristol to get it right. We were back in Sunday, we've not had any time off, we've been in with Jo and we know what we have to do against Derby."

DERBY COUNTY

"We're confident going into this game. We know we're a good side, we know what we can do against these teams and we're focused on getting the three points.

"They're a good side, but they're down here with us, we're at home and I think we can use that, our fans behind us, and hopefully kick-start our season."
