IMPORTANT TICKETING NEWS

10 May 2021

Whilst we still await clarity from governing bodies regarding the attendance of supporters at Oakwell for our Play-Off fixture against Swansea City on 17 May, Barnsley FC would like to issue the following information.

  • Supporters could return for the play-off semi-final home tie against Swansea
  • Whilst we still seek assurances, ticket ballot process will open from 12 noon on Tuesday 11 May until 12 noon on Wednesday 12 May.
  • A maximum 4,500 tickets available
  • Public health and safety remains priority
  • All tickets will be distributed digitally
  • Club await final clarification from governing bodies regarding admittance of fans and potential restrictions

Ballot Process

Following consultation with the Barnsley FC Supporters Trust and fan representatives, all 20/21 seasonal members will be invited to enter a one-off online ballot, for a chance to secure a seat for the play-off semi-final home leg (Monday 17 May, 8:15pm).

Whilst we still seek clarity from EFL and governing bodies, to ensure that potential entry is managed in a safe, sensible manner, the Club will open the ballot on Tuesday 11 May at 12 noon.

There will be no postcode restrictions and Members will be permitted to enter the ballot in groups of up to six, all of whom will need to be within your e-ticketing network.

The ballot will be open for 24 hours, closing on Wednesday 12 May at 12 noon.

The C.K.Beckett South Stand, Investment Room East Stand and the North Stand will be in operation. It will not be possible to guarantee a specific seat and you may be allocated seating that is not in your regular stand.

Members who sit in the accessible seats (including ambulant disabled) should enter the main ballot, as should registered disabled supporters who sit in general admission with only the registered disabled supporter needing to apply. Successful disabled applicants requiring accessible seating should contact the Box Office directly, should allocated seats not be suitable.

Payment

Ticket prices for this leg are as follows:

Adult

£25

Senior / Young Adult

£15

Under 19

£10

Under 12

On initial application, each ticket will display a provisional price of £25. However, successful applicants will be charged the correct ticket price, as per each individual’s relevant category. Those unsuccessful will not be charged.

Payment will be taken from successful applicants upon fulfilment of the balloting process on 12 May, with digital ticket distribution to follow no later than 5pm 14 May.

We appreciate this is still a very fluid situation and should this fixture be played behind-closed-doors, all relevant supporters will be automatically refunded.

Further communications will be shared over the coming days, expanding on this announcement.

Thank you for your continued patience and support.
