Reds defender will link up with Poland for this summer's rescheduled European Championships!
Barnsley Football Club are delighted to confirm that defender Michał Helik has been called up to represent the Polish national team at UEFA EURO 2020.
Having only recently made his Polska debut during the last international break where he also went on to play at Wembley against England, the 25-year-old is now named in Paulo Sousa's 26-man squad ahead of the showpiece European tournament.
Voted Player of the Season by Reds supporters, Michał will join up with the Polish squad as soon as our domestic campaign draws to a close, meeting for a training camp in Opalenica where The Eagles will take on Russia and Iceland in warm-up friendlies. From there, they'll head to Gdansk, where they'll be based for EURO 2020.
Poland are in Group E of this year's championships, facing Slovakia, Spain and Sweden.
Congratulations and good luck to Michał Helik!
