The Reds and Sheffield Wednesday are putting local rivalry aside to support United Nations’ Anti-Racism day this weekend.
Stand Up To Racism groups in South Yorkshire initiated the matchday move to mark the international day of activities that will be visible across the UK.
Ahead of kick-off on Saturday afternoon, both sides will take the knee as football continues to passionately oppose any form of racism or discrimination.
The South Yorkshire derby provides a platform for both clubs to highlight the campaign and continue to send the important message that discrimination, in any form, is abhorrent and wholly unacceptable.
