The games keep on coming, but will the victories? It's a midweek trip to the capital next up for the Reds as we take on Queens Park Rangers.
It's another long-haul midweek trip for Barnsley on Wednesday 3 March as Valérien Ismaël takes his in-form side south to face QPR at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium in a 7pm kick-off.
Fresh from victory over Millwall at Oakwell over the weekend, the Reds head to West London once again, where this excellent five-game winning run began last month at Brentford.
Saturday's fifth consecutive win was hard-earned. With Cauley Woodrow's 12th goal of the season quickly cancelled out by Mason Bennett for the Lions, it was left to Michał Helik to come up with the goods in the second half, volleying home in style to secure 15 points from 15 in February.
It has been an incredible season for Barnsley since the appointment of Ismaël as Head Coach back in October of last year. That win over Millwall was the 15th of the league campaign for the Reds in just the 25th match of the Frenchman's tenure.
That latest success lifted the Reds into seventh position in the Sky Bet Championship standings, just one place outside the end-of-season playoff spots with a game in-hand over sixth-placed Bournemouth, who Barnsley will visit in just over a week's time.
The gaffer has spoken throughout his reign thus far of reaching a points total that should ensure survival in the second tier for a second season running, and with that well-talked-about marker of 50 points now accomplished, new ambitions are on the agenda.
Valérien believes March is a critical month in terms of establishing just what exactly the Reds can achieve in the remainder of this 20/21 season. With 18 points up for grabs for Barnsley, we will all have a much clearer vision of what lies ahead going into the international break at the month's end.
But the start of that run of games takes us to Queen Park Rangers, one of the venues that Barnsley have notoriously struggled at over the years. Until last season of course.
Still under the stewardship of Mark Warburton, the R's are in decent form themselves in 2021 but are still closer to the relegation zone than they are the top six, with their last two fixtures putting a dent in any lingering playoff hopes.
Beaten late on at the weekend away at struggling Birmingham City, the Hoops will be seeking more home comforts having won all of their last three fixtures at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, which included notable victories over both Brentford and Bournemouth.
The January additions of Charlie Austin, Sam Field and Stefan Johansen breathed new life into Warburton's squad who no longer rely on the individual quality of Bright Osayi-Samuel who joined Turkish giants Fenerbahce until the end of the season.
In the reverse fixture at Oakwell - Ismaël's first as Reds boss - it was a very comfortable evening for his new side as Barnsley emerged victorious with a 3-0 win under the lights.
And as we referred to already, the Reds ended that long-term Loftus Road hoodoo when in June of last year they won away at QPR for the first time since 1950. A result that kick-started our great escape.
