Barnsley Football Club can confirm that the appeal against Alex Mowatt’s red card against Wycombe Wanderers has been successful.
The skipper will now be available for our South Yorkshire derby against Sheffield Wednesday this weekend.
Mowatt was dismissed in the second half at Adams Park for a challenge on Scott Kashket, with referee Darren Bond brandishing a straight red card.
Upon appeal, this decision has since been overturned and Mowatt will be eligible for selection in Valérien Ismaël’s matchday squad on Saturday.
