The Reds' fixture list for the new season has been revealed!
Barnsley Football Club will kick off their 21/22 campaign where they ended the last one - a trip to Wales on the opening day on Saturday 7 August, to take on Mick McCarthy's Cardiff City side at the Cardiff City Stadium.
A week later and it's back-to-back Oakwell home games, as we welcome Coventry City (Aug 14) and Luton Town (Tue 17).
In terms of other notable fixtures, the Reds head to the seaside and Blackpool on Saturday 25 September, a first visit to Bloomfield Road in three years against the newly promoted side.
Our first Yorkshire derby occurs on Saturday 23 October when Slavisa Jokanovic brings his Sheffield United outfit to Oakwell.
Boxing Day football is once again on home soil too, as Stoke City make the journey on Sunday 26 December.
The Reds will bring in the New Year of 2022 by taking on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
Easter sees us travel to Swansea City on Good Friday (Apr 15) before welcoming newly-promoted Peterborough United to Oakwell on Easter Monday (Apr 18).
And our 21/22 campaign is set to be rounded off with an away day at recently relegated West Bromwich Albion, on Saturday 7 May.
