Barnsley Football Club can confirm that Luke Thomas has joined Bristol Rovers on loan until the end of the 21/22 season.
The 22-year-old forward arrived at Oakwell from Derby County in June 2019 and has made 64 appearances in all competitions for the Reds.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at Ipswich Town in Sky Bet League One, featuring five times before taking a break from football due to personal circumstances.
Moving closer to home and his family, Thomas will now link up at the Memorial Stadium ahead of Rovers’ League Two campaign following their relegation from the third tier last term.
If required, the Reds have retained the option to recall Luke from the loan in January 2022.
