Barnsley Football Club can confirm that Conor Chaplin has joined Ipswich Town in a permanent deal.
The 24-year-old forward, who arrived at Oakwell from Coventry City in July 2019 following our promotion to the Sky Bet Championship, scored 17 goals in all competitions for the Reds, the last of which was on the final day of the regulation 20/21 campaign against Norwich City.
Chaplin featured 86 times for Barnsley during his two seasons in South Yorkshire and will now link-up with Paul Cook once more at Portman Road after the clubs agreed an undisclosed fee. The pair worked together at Portsmouth and won the League Two title in 16/17.
Everyone at Oakwell would like to thank Conor for his efforts and professionalism during his time at the club and wish him the very best for the future.
Good luck, Chaps!
