The Reds face Wanderers in the opening round of this season's Carabao Cup.
We can now announce that Barnsley will take on Bolton Wanderers at the University of Bolton Stadium on Tuesday 10 August 2021, in an 8pm kick-off.
The Reds reached the third round last season, before being seen off by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
It will be the first time we've met Bolton in this competition, and the newly-promoted League One side will be a tough first opponent for Markus Schopp's Reds.
