You chose Jasper Moon’s strike against Coventry City as your Goal of the Month for January, in association with AX Soccer Tours.
In a finely-run contest, our young defender came out on top with 34.3% of the vote, narrowly edging out Callum Styles (28.7%) and Mads Andersen (27.3%) to claim the accolade.
It was a fine goal from the 20-year-old, who reacted quickest to crash a sweet half-volley home from the edge of the box after Isaac Christie-Davies’ free-kick had hit the wall.
“I’m very pleased to have won this award because I don’t score many goals,” exclaimed Jasper, upon hearing the news. “To score a goal like I did and win Goal of the Month, I’m absolutely delighted.
“Going up against the likes of Cauley, our top scorer at the club this season, it makes this very special and I’d like to thank everyone who voted for me.
“Scoring more goals is definitely the aim. It gives you that good feeling and adds to your stats at the end of the seasons – I mean, who wouldn’t want to score more goals?!”
