Barnsley Football Club has triggered a one-year extension option in Victor Adeboyejo’s contract.
The powerful forward has impressed since being brought back into the fore by Valérien Ismaël this term, featuring 24 times under the Frenchman.
Adeboyejo’s contribution and work ethic have been clear for all to see – particularly his physical approach, which suits the way our Head Coach likes to play football.
He got off the mark in the Sky Bet Championship with a wonderful curling strike to seal all three points at Derby County back in November, before netting the winner as we came from behind to beat Preston North End at Oakwell in December.
Barnsley FC Chief Executive Officer, Dane Murphy, said: “We are delighted with the progress that Victor is making and he is continuing to make effective contributions to the team each game.
“Victor has worked extremely hard throughout his time at the Club, from under 23s to the senior squad, and he is reaping the rewards now with regular first team football under Valérien Ismaël.
“We hope he can continue to impress and add to his goal tally.”
