Our Polish defender spoke to the press ahead of our Yorkshire derby with Huddersfield Town.
ON FULL WEEK TRAINING
“I think it’s good for us; it’s a fresh start for everyone. It’s a time to learn his philosophy and I think, after a really good week and good sessions, we are closer to each other with the new staff, and we know more about how he wants to play and how we want to play.”
ON CURRENT LEAGUE SITUATION
“Of course, it’s serious. We’re disappointed about the results we’ve had so far. I think, for us, it’s a fresh start and I hope it’s similar to last time and that Christmas will be good for us, and we can still reach a good number of points in that period of time.”
ON SCORING GOALS
“We should try to create more opportunities for our strikers and as a team. But we were training on that this week, also, and I hope we will be able to show it in the next game.
“We have enough quality in the squad to start scoring goals and we will do it. It was a tough time for us, but I think we can only focus on the future and I hope we will score in the next game.”
ON BUILDING MOMENTUM
“I think the Championship is the league of momentum, because if you get the right momentum you can get a lot of points in a short period of time and that’s our aim for December. I believe and I am sure we are able to do it.
“It’s a really open league and there are still a lot of games in front of us, so we still have the feeling that we can stay in the league and we are fighting for this every day. In training, we are fully focused on the sessions and I hope we will do it.”
ON HUDDERSFIELD GAME
“Of course, I hope we can get the three points and that’s our aim. I personally expect another clean sheet to start building some momentum. The clean sheet and the win; that’s our aim.”
ON LAST MEETING AT HOME
“To score two goals in that derby game, I’m just sad that the fans were not there but it was a big moment for me and I still remember that moment.”
