Ahead of Saturday's clash with Coventry City at Oakwell, issues arose with a number of brand new Reds Membership season cards.
Some new cards wouldn't scan correctly, this wasn’t because they were invalid, but the scanners could not read the barcode. This caused queues as turnstile operatives had to manually enter the codes to admit supporters
The issue was promptly reported to Ticketmaster and is being dealt with as a matter of urgency. Where possible, we would urge supporters to use their digital version until the matter is resolved.
Barnsley FC apologises to all those inconvenienced and thanks its supporters for their patience and understanding on the matter.
Saturday saw over 12,000 Barnsley fans back at Oakwell, the first home game of its kind since March 2020. The Reds edged the Sky Blues in a real battle to maintain their unbeaten start to the 21/22 campaign.
But we are aware that not everything is perfect right now, however, efforts are being made to return to normal after the impact caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Again, we thank you for your patience.
