At the request of the emergency services, a number of necessary alterations have been made to the car parking operation at Oakwell.
The Beevor Court entrance is now a designated emergency rendezvous point, meaning it closed on home matchday to all supporters, vehicles and pedestrians.
How does this change impact you?
Hospitality Members (using East Stand car park):
All supporters with a corporate car park pass must access and exit the East Stand car park via Grove Street. Entrance will be accepted via the main entrance at the top of the drive.
Due to the expected increase in congestion upon exiting the stadium, it is advised that supporters in the East Stand hospitality car park wait in their lounge for up to 30 minutes after the final whistle, allowing for traffic to clear. The barrier will be raised to allow vehicles from the East Stand to pass through to the South Stand 30 minutes after the final whistle.
Parking In The South Stand:
To compensate for the additional traffic, a temporary suspension of ‘pay on the day’ parking in the South Stand car park has been implemented. This means that only those with a seasonal parking pass, individual game pass or individuals named on a club list can gain access.
When exiting Oakwell, access will be granted onto both Grove Street and Pontefract Road, as usual. No traffic will be permitted into the East Stand car park to exit via Beevor Court. Once all traffic has cleared from the South Stand, the East Stand car park barrier will be lifted.
Pay On The Day:
The ability to pay for parking outside the South Stand has been temporarily suspended. Only those with pre-bookings can gain entry to East/South Stand car parks.
Please note, stewards will be positioned around Beevor Court and Pontefract Road to guide supporters, both in cars and on foot, to alternative access routes.
