BARCODE SCANNING ISSUES

27 August 2021

Further to our previous communications regarding some season cards being unscannable we are sorry to report that the issue has not yet been resolved.

Our ticketing partner, Ticketmaster, have worked tirelessly to rectify the problem. Unfortunately, despite their full attention, this has not been possible, so the only remaining solution is to re-print the affected cards. We are moving away from the 1D barcodes and all newly issued cards will now have a QR code, very similar to your digital version.

In order to avoid additional inconvenience, this weekend we will retain any season card that won’t scan at the turnstiles. Affected supporters will then be given a receipt which will be scanned by the turnstile operative. Once cards are reprinted we will post them out to your registered address prior to the next home game (vs Blackburn Rovers – Saturday 18 September). Please be assured that you will be able to gain access to all the games your membership entitles. Your seat remains unaffected, this is purely a technical issue affecting the plastic membership cards.

Until we know the extent of the problem, we cannot make a decision as to if a full seasonal member reprint may be required. Whilst we don’t want to unduly inconvenience supporters who have been thus far unaffected, there isn't a pattern to determine which cards won’t scan. We will inform all supporters should a full seasonal member card reprint be decided upon. If necessary, it will be completed during the upcoming international break.

Thank you for your patience and please be assured that we are doing all we can to resolve this issue as swiftly as possible.
