As we continue our fight against all forms of discrimination, Barnsley FC – along with clubs across the EFL, English football and wider sport – will be boycotting all social media platforms from 3pm on Friday 30 April until 11:59pm on Monday 3 May.
The importance of highlighting abuse online and in society is crucial and now is the time for us all to act. We are also asking supporters, partners and stakeholders to join the collective stance to help raise awareness of this abhorrent and cowardly behaviour.
While the club will not be posting anything across our social channels during this period, you can still keep up to date with all the latest news on our official website and iFollow Barnsley will operate as normal for the Sky Bet Championship clash with Preston North End on Saturday 1 May.
You will be able to access team news, match reports and pre- and post-match reaction from our first team fixture at Deepdale as well as our U23s clash with Cardiff City on Bank Holiday Monday.
We thank you for your understanding with this matter.
Enough is enough.
