Barnsley FC have achieved the EFL Family Excellence Award for the 19/20 campaign.
In a season that has seen the Club continue to engage supporters and create new match-day experiences for fans of all ages, Barnsley FC have attained Family Excellence status in consecutive seasons, for the first time!
A number of Clubs across the EFL have also achieved Family Excellence status this season, for the remarkable work carried out in engaging families on matchdays.
Chief Executive Officer, Dane Murphy said: "Over the last two years we implemented a specific strategy to both attract and retain young supporters and this acknowledgement is a good indication that we’re heading in the right direction.
“I know a lot of hard work was put in to the last campaign by numerous departments and I’m delighted that their work has been recognised. We have a number of passionate individuals behind the scenes that are determined to do the best for our supporters.
“Thousands of supporters have enjoyed our new experiences. Toby’s Kids Club and the FanZone have been well received by many, and again, there’s a host of individuals to thank, but as a Club we want to keep improving. Whilst the current situation is not ideal, we have a number of interesting projects that are close to launch and look forward to introducing them shortly.”
