Focus moves back to the Carabao Cup for Barnsley, as we head north to Middlesbrough for a second round clash with the Teessiders.

The quick turnaround means there is no time to feel sorry for ourselves, following Saturday's disappointing performance against Luton Town on day one of the new Sky Bet Championship season.

That single goal defeat at Oakwell must be quickly erased from the mind as Gerhard Struber's men head out on the road for the first time in 20/21.

A 90-mile trip up the road to Teesside is next on the Reds' agenda, as this season's Carabao Cup continues into the second round.

Ahead of Tuesday night's clash with Boro, both the Reds' boss and his midfielder Isaac Christie-Davies spoke to the press to preview the cup tie, and iFollow Barnsley subscribers can watch both pre-match press conference interviews by clicking play on the linked videos below.

It wasn't a positive start for Boro in their opening league clash at the weekend either, as Neil Warnock's side were also seen off 1-0, away to promotion favourites Watford last Friday night.

The vastly experienced Warnock, once of this parish in his playing days has stuck around on Riverside after guiding the North East outfit to safety at the back-end of last term, and has suggested a promotion push is possible.

Whilst our hosts on Tuesday night are solid enough defensively, nobody scored less goals than Middlesbrough in the Championship last season.

The last time the Reds visited the Riverside it ended in a 1-0 defeat when a Dimitri Cavaré mistake was punished by ex-Red Ashley Fletcher on an evening of pouring rain on Teesside. We expect a more pleasant night this time around, certainly in terms of the forecasted weather..

With the draw for the third round having already been made, both sides know that progress on Tuesday night will see them visiting Premier League giants Chelsea at the last 32 stage.
