PERIOD OF REMEMBRANCE

23 October 2020

We are proud to pay tribute to those who fell in the line of duty.

As we enter the period of Remembrance, Barnsley FC will once again pay its respects to those that have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

We will be honouring all who have served in the past and those who continue to fight today to maintain our freedom.

The first team will wear shirts emblazoned with the Poppy for our scheduled Sky Bet Championship match on Saturday 7 November, against Derby County at Pride Park.

Our home match against Nottingham Forest, following the international break, on Saturday 21 November will be dedicated to Remembrance, with a moment of silence observed ahead of kick-off.

Due to the current circumstances and EFL protocols in place this season, unfortunately we are unable to welcome members of the Armed Forces to Oakwell.

Following this fixture, all match-worn shirts will be signed and auctioned to raise vital funds for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

Also, the Club are once again delighted to offer supporters a limited supply of our dual-branded Poppy pin badges.

These are on sale online HERE for a donation of £4.99.
