Ahead of our Sky Bet Championship fixture against Nottingham Forest on Saturday 21 November, Barnsley Football Club will pay tribute to the fallen.
This is the Reds’ closest home fixture to Armistice Day and we will acknowledge the occasion by holding a minute’s silence prior to kick-off after John Hopkinson’s rendition of the Last Post.
A commemorative wreath will be laid in the Ponty End, next to your flags, by a service personnel.
Barnsley players will also be wearing poppies on their shirts, which will be available to bid on at auction from kick-off with all proceeds going to the Royal British Legion.
The link for the auction will be shared across social media at kick-off.
