ORDER YOUR FOREST EDITION OF GROVE STREET

15 November 2020

We’re back in Sky Bet Championship action again next weekend as we welcome Nottingham Forest to Oakwell, which means there is another feature-laden edition of Grove Street on the way.

So, what do we have coming up for you in this issue?

We have a massive interview with the skipper, ALEX MOWATT.

Our in-form captain discusses his nearly-four years at Oakwell. Going over his difficult start to life as a Red, talking about the magical 2018/19 promotion-winning campaign and of course, looking back to last season and the 'great escape'.

It's also an insightful piece, where the 25-year-old speaks about the impact of different coaches, his ambitions moving forward, and naturally, talks about his future at the club.

Our second big interview is with none other than MADS ANDERSEN who, after a somewhat turbulent start to his Barnsley career, has established himself as a fans favourite for his performances and positive demeanour around the club.

The Great Dane, as we like to call him, discusses his mental strength training, which he says was the catalyst behind his post-lockdown form and he hasn’t looked back since.

We caught up with DAN BRAMALL, who is catching the eye with his goal scoring streak at U23s level. The youngster, who arrived at Oakwell in the summer, has found the Midas touch in the opening weeks of the Professional Development League campaign and he talks about how he nearly quit football before dropping into non-league.

Sticking with the academy theme and next up to attempt our Ten Questions challenge is WILL LANCASTER. The tenacious midfielder is renowned for his tough tackling approach, but has he met his match in this quiz?

As ever, we continue to shine a light on the local hospitality sector, and our feature in your Nottingham Forest edition of GROVE STREET is a name that some of you will be familiar with: BEARS STREET FOOD. Yes, you’ll have seen the catering vans outside Oakwell on a matchday, so we spoke to LEE TAYLOR, who owns the company, about how they have adapted since the pandemic.

After netting his first ever Championship goal in the win over Derby County before the international break, VICTOR ADEBOYEJO answers your questions that you submitted via social media.

We also have a musical number in this edition as FanZone regular, TOM PRENDERGAST talks about his career and upcoming singles to look out for.

In addition to all the above, NEIL RICHARDSON writes about another Barnsley legend in his '250 Club' piece, while LEIGH EDWARDS pens a historical column in our five pages dedicated to the visitors from the City Ground.
