You voted for Alex Mowatt’s sensational strike against Watford as Goal of the Month for October in association with AX Soccer.
The Reds skipper picked up a loose pass in the centre circle before driving forward and unleashing a thunderous effort that crashed into the top corner, clipping the post on the way in.
It’s a double scoop for the midfielder, who was also named as Player of the Month, too.
“I’m delighted to have won Goal of the Month,” he said. “It’s nice to be back amongst the goals and I scored two really good ones, which also helped us pick up some much-needed points.
“The goal against Watford set us on our way and it turned out to be an excellent team performance against a top side, which shows we have the ability to get results against the best teams in the division.
“I’d like to thank the fans who voted for me, because there were some great goals to choose from last month, so it means a lot. It's just a shame they weren't at Oakwell to enjoy it with us all.”
