The Reds squad are about to start picking up the phone to get in touch with you, as football edges closer to a restart!
Over the next few weeks, Barnsley FC players will be setting out to contact every 2019/20 seasonal member who have provided the Club with a phone number on our system.
Following on from the Club's regular calls to elderly supporters throughout the Pandemic - where club staff and board members contacted the most vulnerable members of the loyal BFC fanbase - we are now expanding this idea to incorporate all of our valued supporters using the help of our first team!
25 members of Gerhard Struber's squad want to contact supporters after what has been a tough couple of months under the government's lockdown rules, owing to the global crisis that has been the Coronavirus.
As soon as each group of five players have finished their daily training regime at Oakwell, and whilst still adhering to the COVID-19 health and safety Club protocols now in place at the stadium, they will make their way to an organised area and give fans calls, to check in on how supporters are doing, to chat football and look towards the future.
With government restrictions easing all the time now, there is a light at the end of this tunnel for all of us, and now more than ever, we need to unite as a Club, a town and community.
Today. Tomorrow. Always.
