February was a positive month for Barnsley as we picked up 10 crucial Sky Bet Championship points to keep our survival hopes alive.
The Reds also netted seven goals and we’ve picked out five of them for you to choose as your ‘Goal of the Month’.
GOAL A – CAULEY WOODROW vs Charlton Athletic
After winning possession deep in our own half, the Reds broke at pace with Luke Thomas who drove at the Charlton backline before finding Woodrow. The prolific striker took a touch before firing across Dillon Phillips and into the far corner.
GOAL B – CAULEY WOODROW vs Sheffield Wednesday
An opportunistic strike from our number nine as he capitalised on a slack clearance from Owls’ stopper Cameron Dawson to sweep home first time from 35-yards and ensure Barnsley claimed a share of the spoils from a pulsating South Yorkshire derby.
GOAL C – JACOB BROWN vs Fulham
With the Reds already a goal to the good at Craven Cottage, Brown latched onto a through ball from Woodrow before superbly lofting it beyond the onrushing Marek Rodák and into an empty net to put his side on course for a famous victory against high-flying Fulham.
GOAL D – CAULEY WOODROW vs Fulham
In what was an incredible month for Woodrow, he went back to haunt his former club and netted twice in our 3-0 win. His second rounded off a fine team move involving Killian Ludewig and Mike Bähre before slamming in at the near post to seal all three points in west London.
GOAL E – CONOR CHAPLIN vs MIDDLESBROUGH
Having dominated for large parts of the game, it appeared as though Barnsley wouldn’t make the all-important breakthrough against a stubborn Boro outfit. But up stepped Chaplin to net the only goal of the encounter, crashing in from close range after his initial effort had cannoned back off the bar.
