One of the most important goals of the month gets the votes - Jacob Brown picks up another award!
Jacob Brown’s delightful finish against Fulham has been voted as Goal of the Month for February.
The young forward latched onto Cauley Woodrow’s through ball before racing clear and deftly lobbing his shot beyond the onrushing Marek Rodák to put the Reds 2-0 up at Craven Cottage.
It was Jacob’s third goal in all competitions this campaign, having previously found the net against Huddersfield Town and Crewe Alexandra, and he wanted to express his gratitude to the supporters for voting him as winner of our monthly accolade.
“I just want to say thank you to all the fans who voted,” he said. “Scoring that goal felt amazing and hopefully there’s more to come. It put us two up, so it took the pressure off and we went on to claim a big win. It started a good run as well, which we needed.”
'Browny' will collect his award on Saturday when the Reds face Cardiff City at Oakwell.
Congratulations, Jacob!
