2019/20 | Fixtures Resumption

8 June 2020

Barnsley Football Club will resume the 2019/20 Sky Bet Championship campaign on Saturday 20 June.

We will pick up where we left off with a trip to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium to face Queens Park Rangers, who were put to the sword in an eight-goal thriller at Oakwell back in December as Conor Chaplin bagged his first Reds’ hat-trick.

The remaining fixtures are as you were, with Barnsley back in South Yorkshire a week later to host Millwall and hoping to secure a league double over Gary Rowett’s side after Patrick Schmidt’s dramatic late winner in south east London over the festive period.

Gerhard Struber will then welcome Blackburn Rovers to Oakwell on Tuesday 30 June in a 6pm kick-off – the first of three confirmed evening matches from our remaining fixtures.

Up next is a trip to the Potteries to face Stoke City in a game that was originally scheduled for the start of April, but is now being played exactly three months later on Saturday 4 July.

Remaining 2019/20 fixtures

Barnsley are back on the road once more in another crucial clash at the foot of the table as we travel to Luton Town on Tuesday 7 July at Kenilworth Road in a 7:45pm kick-off.

We return to South Yorkshire the following weekend and entertain Wigan Athletic in what could potentially be a six-pointer on Saturday 11 July.

The Reds then make the short journey to Elland Road on Tuesday 14 July for the eagerly anticipated Yorkshire Derby against Leeds United, which will kick-off at 7:45pm.

Our final home game of the season sees Struber welcome Nottingham Forest to Oakwell on Saturday 18 July before we round off our campaign at Brentford on Wednesday 22 July, kick-off time to be confirmed, in what will be the last ever game at Griffin Park.

Please note that all kick-off times are 3pm unless otherwise stated.

So far, none of our fixtures have been selected for Sky Sports coverage although only the first three rounds of fixtures have been scheduled. More news will follow at a later date.

All season tickets holders will be able to watch our home matches for free on iFollow Barnsley and we are awaiting EFL guidance on functionality.
