Awarded the Hadfield Trophy as your Young Player of the Season for 2019/20, we caught up with Elliot Simoes to get his reaction after a breakthrough campaign at first team level.
"I'm very happy to win the Young Player of the Season award," Simoes told us, smiling, after a season of real progression for the 20-year-old forward.
"It means a lot to me, knowing where I've come from. To come from non-league I never expected to have this sort of impact on the first team so quickly.
"I need to give credit to my teammates, who've helped me a lot and to the staff who've trusted and believed in me, right from the Under 23s and up to the gaffer here.
"The confidence I've got from him has been unbelievable and if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be stood here now with a trophy like this."
