Making it a seasonal double for him on a personal level, the Reds' captain is the supporters' Player of the Season for 2019/20 and we got his immediate reaction to the news.
"To get the fans' award is just what you always want really." Alex Mowatt explained having made it an awards-double for himself ahead of today's game.
"They see you every week, so if they reckon you're the best player, you can't really complain!
"I didn't get this one last season, so I really made it an aim for myself this year. I wish we'd had a much better campaign naturally, but I'm proud to recieve these awards today and want to thank the Reds fans for their terrific support this season."
The captain won with 68% of the votes. It was another runners-up spot for Jacob Brown and fellow forward Conor Chaplin came third.
