Upon receiving the accolade, Conor expressed his delight and gratitude, insisting he hopes to add to his tally before the campaign draws to a close.
“Thanks to everyone who voted for this goal,” said the 23-year-old. “It was a great team move with two great passes and finish.
“I just tried to stay in between two defenders and relied on Kilian’s pass to find me. Thankfully it was a perfect cross and I was able to guide the header into the back of the net.
“It was an important goal and hopefully there’s still a few more to come before the end of the season.”
