There will be a moment for applause this weekend

Opportunity to pay tribute to two fallen Reds from different eras

10 January 2020

There will be a moment for applause prior to the Yorkshire Derby with Huddersfield Town.

Barnsley Football Club recently learned of the passing of both Chris Barker (1980-2020) and Eric Brookes (1944-2020), two players from different eras but two players who were local lads and made their professional breakthrough at Oakwell, giving the club tremendous service and both known for their work off the field too.

Before the 3pm kick-off with the Terriers on Saturday 11 January, signalled by the referee, there will be a moment for applause, giving everyone inside Oakwell the opportunity to both pay their respects and remember the efforts of two of our own, Chris and Eric.

Thank you for your support.
