Midweek Loan Round-Up

29 January 2020

We take a look at the members of the Barnsley playing squad currently out on loan, and how they got on in their respective midweek fixtures.

Starting with Sky Bet League Two, we had all of GEORGE MILLER, JORDAN GREEN and VICTOR ADEBOYEJO in action. Miller came off the bench in the first half for Scunthorpe United but couldn't prevent the Iron from going down 3-0 away at Northampton Town.

Green started in midfield for Newport County as they came out on top at Rodney Parade against Macclesfield Town. He was heavily involved in Joss Labadie's all-important goal and given a terrific ovation when leaving the field after 74 minutes.

Adeboyejo played 90 minutes in Cambridge United's 4-0 home defeat to Salford City, a result that later saw the end of Colin Caldwerwood's reign as Head Coach of the U's.

Into Sky Bet League One and our sole-loanee there, CAMERON McGEEHAN. The midfielder didn't start for the first time since arriving at Fratton Park, but did come off the bench to play the last 15 minutes of a 2-0 away victory for Portsmouth at Lincoln City.

And finally, into the Sky Bet Championship. Hull City were defeated on home soil by struggling Huddersfield Town and MALLIK WILKS was named in the starting lineup. But the forward was replaced on 63 minutes with the Tigers going on to lose 2-1 to the Terriers.

TOBY SIBBICK wasn't in action with Hearts who don't play until the weekend.
