GOAL A – CONOR CHAPLIN v DERBY COUNTY
A goal all of his own making. The diminutive forward latched onto a loose pass from David Marshall before showing great composure to slot into the far corner as the Rams’ goalkeeper scrambled back across his line.
GOAL B – VICTOR ADEBOYEJO v DERBY COUNTY
Not only was this a wonderful strike, but a fantastic team goal from start to finish. After Michał Helik won possession back, the Reds moved forward with passes from Mads Andersen, Cauley Woodrow, Herbie Kane and Chaplin, who found Adeboyejo bursting ahead of him. The Nigerian striker set himself before curling a fine shot into the bottom corner from 20-yards.
GOAL C – HARRISON NEJMAN v SHEFFIELD UNITED U18
The young midfielder scored the only goal of a fiercely contested South Yorkshire derby as he flicked the ball over a defender from a long throw and slotted into the bottom corner.
GOAL D – CALLUM STYLES v NOTTINGHAM FOREST
An absolute howitzer from our little magician. After Adeboyejo had muscled his way to the byline, he pulled it back for Woodrow, who in turn laid it off for Styles to lash first time into the far top corner from the edge of the box. What a screamer, that was…
GOAL E – CAULEY WOODROW v NOTTINGHAM FOREST
A goal that owed so much to the magnificent work from Callum Brittain, who surged down the right flank and cut it back for our prolific hitman to sweep into the corner first time and seal all three points.
GOAL F – DAN BRAMALL v BIRMINGHAM CITY U23
A player who is making waves at U23 level, Bramall is continuing to impress and, after collecting a pass from Elliot Simoes, he drove at the Birmingham defence and worked the ball onto his right foot before firing low into the corner from the edge of the area.
GOAL G – ROMAL PALMER v BLACKBURN ROVERS
His first senior goal was one with bittersweet emotions, but it was a fine strike all the same from our dynamic midfielder. Introduced as a late substitute at Ewood Park, he was on hand to volley home after Adeboyejo’s strike had been blocked by a Rovers defender.
