Following the UK Government’s announcement that South Yorkshire are to remain under Tier 3 restrictions until further notice, all first team fixtures at Oakwell will continue to be played behind closed doors.
The constraints imposed mean that we are unable to welcome supporters back to live fixtures. Please be assured that when permission is granted, Barnsley FC and Oakwell Stadium will be well placed for supporters return.
Once South Yorkshire enters ‘Tier Two’, legally, we will be permitted to welcome 2,000 supporters into the stadium. If at any point we fall in to ‘Tier One’, we will allow 4,000 supporters into live fixtures.
Until 20/21 members can return to live fixtures, entitled iFollow codes will continue to be distributed on a game by game basis.
In preparation for fans returning to stadia, earlier in December we asked supporters to inform us of their bubble. The deadline to create your bubble online has since passed, however if you still wish to register one (and subsequently enter all future ballots for restricted capacity fixtures during the 20/21 season), please contact the Box Office with your client reference number(s) Monday to Friday 10am-4pm on 01226 211183 or by email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
We appreciate this is a complex and very fluid situation. If you have any questions that we have not already answered in this article or our FAQs section, please get in touch.
We look forward to the day that we welcome supporters back to Oakwell.
