BALLOTING/BUBBLING FAQS

3 December 2020

Balloting and bubbling frequently asked questions.

This is defined by the current UK Government guidance.

If you don’t already have an active online account you can activate your seasonal membership here: https://www.eticketing.co.uk/barnsleyfc/Authentication/ActivateAccount?returnUrl=%2Fbarnsleyfc%2F

Once you are logged into your account you will select ‘Matchday Bubble’ and ‘apply’. If you wish to add others to your bubble click ‘add’. You can then select others from within your online network. You can add up to five others to your application.

Whilst in your own ticketing account, click the buttons below:

  • My Account
  • Network
  • Add Members
  • Enter the surname and client reference (found on current season card) in the relevant fields
  1. I don’t have access to the internet, how do I apply?

You can contact the box office Monday to Friday 10am-4pm, in person, by calling 01226 211183 or by emailing boxoffice@barnsleyfc.co.uk or memberships@barnsleyfc.co.uk. We can form your bubble for you.

Please ensure you have your client reference number available and the client reference numbers of any supporters you wish to add.

A digital ticket will be sent to your registered email address. The ticket has a scannable QR code which will allow you access to Oakwell Stadium. You will receive a digital ticket for each person in your bubble. The tickets can be downloaded to your Apple or Google wallet.

Alternatively, you can print them off at home. The lead client will receive the tickets for each person within their bubble.

Whilst we are trying to actively discourage the use of paper tickets and reduce the risk of any cross contamination, if a supporter does not have email or a smart phone the box office will issue a traditional paper ticket in these circumstances. Please do not travel to Oakwell to collect, all paper tickets will be posted.

While we are operating at a reduced capacity your existing plastic season card will not be valid. Anyone selected to enter Oakwell Stadium must have either a digital or paper ticket for the specific fixture they are attending. The ticket will clearly show your seat detail and may include other important information regarding entry.

The short answer is no. Those who chose to be entered into the ballot are doing so in the knowledge they will receive a specific match day ticket which could be for any area within Oakwell Stadium. Bubbled supporters will be seated together. If you are successful in subsequent ballots you may be situated for that game in a different stand. The process is random.

We have provision to move supporters who would be unable to attend in the seat(s) issued. You should contact the box office who can manually move your ticket(s) to an area selected for ambulant disabled supporters and those with restricted mobility.

Your ‘Matchday Bubble’ application will enter you into every ballot. If you are successful in a ballot for a game you cannot attend, you can notify us so we can offer the ticket(s) to other, unsuccessful, seasonal members. Under no circumstances should the tickets be passed or sold on. The ticket issued is strictly for the seasonal member named. You would then be entered into the ballot for the next available fixture.

If you do not notify us that you wish to attend then we will assume you do not want to be considered for the ballot process. You will continue to receive an iFollow streaming code for each qualifying fixture, subject to EFL and Broadcasting Regulations.

All supporters who entered the ballot but were unsuccessful will receive an iFollow streaming code, subject to EFL and Broadcasting Regulations.

No, only those unable to attend or those who have chosen not to enter the ballot process will receive iFollow codes.

Yes. If you choose not to be considered for the first few games, for whatever reason, and then decide you would like to be in the ballot we can add you. You will need to contact the Box Office as online applications will close at 12 noon on Wednesday 16th December 2020. You will then be considered for the next available ballot, however, you will not receive priority over supporters who have been in the ballot process from the start.

While ever the allowed attendance is lower than the number of seasonal members who wish to attend, we will continue to run the ballot process. We will, of course, keep all members updated with the lifting or implementing of restrictions as we are notified by the government.
