Head Coach, Gerhard Struber has added to his backroom team ahead of the 20/21 season.
Barnsley Football Club is pleased to announce the arrivals of both Wolfgang Luisser and Tonda Eckert, respectively.
Joining the Reds immediately, and already here at St. George's Park as we ramp up preparations for the new campaign, both men will assist Gerhard Struber as he embarks upon his first full season as Barnsley FC Head Coach.
40-year-old Luisser has held a number of coaching positions in his homeland of Austria with the likes of Red Bull Salzburg, SV Grödig and most recently, SCR Altach. A former midfielder in his playing career, Wolfgang also had a brief spell coaching in Germany with FC Erzgebirge as well as three years within the Austrian international setup.
A much younger man at just 27-years-old, Eckert joins having spent last season coaching the U17s at German giants Bayern Munich. Previous years coaching in the youth systems of FC Koln, RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig see the German held in high-regard as he now makes the transition into English football for the first time in his career.
